How to Get My Puppy

We’ve designed our process to be straightforward and supportive, guiding you every step of the way as you prepare to welcome your new companion. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Submit an Application & Phone Interview

Begin by filling out our puppy application, which helps us learn more about your lifestyle, expectations, and what you’re looking for in a puppy. Once we receive your application, we’ll schedule a phone consultation to discuss your needs in more detail, answer any questions, and ensure we’re the right fit for each other.

Step 2: Reservation Fee

After your application is approved, a reservation fee is required to secure your spot on our pick list for an upcoming litter. Puppy picks are made after temperament evaluations, ensuring the best match between you and your future puppy.

Step 3: Puppy Selection & Contract

Once the puppies are evaluated around 7 to 8 weeks old, you’ll choose your puppy based on your pick position and our temperament guidance. At that time, we’ll review and sign the contract, outlining the terms of care, health guarantees, and our commitment to supporting you and your puppy throughout their life.

Waitlist Option

Not quite ready to complete an application or place a deposit? No problem—we offer a free waitlist for families who want to stay informed without committing just yet.

Here’s how it works:

After temperament testing is completed (when puppies are around 7 to 8 weeks old) and our deposit list has made their selections, we reach out to those on the waitlist about any remaining availability. If you pass on the litter and remain on the list, you’ll have early access to the upcoming litter announcements—before we share them on social media—giving you the chance to begin the application process ahead of the crowd.

There’s no cost to join the waitlist—just a genuine interest in providing a loving, forever home for one of our puppies.

Prefer a more casual way to stay in touch? You can also join our email list, where you’ll receive updates when puppies are expected or born. However, these updates are less frequent and not as timely as being on the “official waitlist.” If this sounds like a better fit, just select Join Our Email List.

Application

Step 1

Upon submission of your application below, we will schedule a phone call to answer any questions you may have and determine if we are a suitable “match”. This is the first step in how to get my puppy.

Reservation Fee

If your application has been approved, you can proceed to the button below labeled Reservation Fee to secure your reservation with the required fee. An email will be sent when your deposit is confirmed.

How Our Reservation Fee Process Works

Pay a non-refundable $500 reservation fee or $1000 for service dog quality which goes toward the final puppy price.
Wait for confirmation you’ve been added to our Master list and your payment has processed.
Wait to be notified via email or phone when a litter has been born.
Respond within 72 hours if you want to get on the offered reservation list.
You will not be removed from the Master list until you choose a puppy.
Everyone stays on the Master list in the order of reservation fee received and/or date of request until they take home a puppy.
You will be placed as “inactive” if you pass 2 times on litters offered to you. This means you will lose your spot on the Master list and fall to the bottom. Your pick in the next litter(s) will likely be a higher number.
Puppy pick day will happen after temperament testing between 7 and 8 weeks old. Each family will have one hour to choose their puppy according to the number on the Master list. You will be notified of your time slot. The remaining balance will be due in cash on pick-up day. There will be a contract to sign which includes a spay/neuter clause within 16 months and a health guarantee. If your puppy is flying, the final payment is due one week prior to pick-day.
By placing a deposit, you secure your pick position within the litter—ensuring you have an early choice when it’s time to match puppies. You’ll also receive exclusive access to our private Match Dot Pup Family blog page, a members-only resource created just for our upcoming puppy families. This blog is filled with helpful content covering everything from preparing your home to early training tips, so you feel confident and ready to welcome your new puppy.
We keep our Facebook and Instagram pages active with daily photo and video updates, so you can follow along with every special moment as your puppy grows. From milestone achievements to everyday cuteness, we aim to keep you informed, connected, and excited throughout the journey—making it a joyful and memorable experience as you prepare to welcome your new companion.

Important as a breeder we reserve the right to the first and second pick in every litter. We may not always choose to keep these spots and will move people up on the list.

If at ANY POINT, the breeder feels you are no longer a safe or “right fit” for our puppies, we reserve the right to stop the process and no longer sell to you. Our puppies’ safety and well-being are our highest priority.

Contract

After you have selected your puppy, the next step is to complete the contract. This contract outlines the terms and conditions of purchasing a puppy, ensuring the well-being and responsibility of both the new owner and the puppy. It helps protect the interest of all parties involved and provides clarity on important aspects of puppy ownership, such as health guarantees, spaying/neutering agreements, and breeder support. This step ensures a smooth and transparent process as you welcome your new furry family member into your home.
